Social Media Presentation for Youth at Las Fotos Project

Social Media Presentation for Youth at Las Fotos Project

This past week I had the pleasure of teaching and inspiring young photographers in high school and members of Las Fotos Project.  I challenged them  to imagine how they can create more opportunities for themselves using social media marketing.  They learned some tactics, hacks and different ways of approaching the benefits of promoting their personal brands.

Las Fotos Project's mission is to elevate the voices of the girls and young women from under -resourced communities through the lens of photography, capturing moments that inspire themselves and others to critically examine the world around them and their place in it.  This exploration empowers the students to become agents of change, channeling their creativity for the benefit of their families, peers, and the broader community.

Recently, my friends have founded a coalition to enrich and support Latino communities so there is more equality in the media industry.  I will post more about the L.I.M.A Coalition as it develops.  In the meantime, if you have a non-profit group that could benefit from mentors or guest speakers, please reach out to me to start a conversion.
